Castrol Gogoro Mobility partners with be Group to pilot battery swapping ecosystem in Vietnam
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – Castrol Gogoro Mobility (CGM) and platform partner be Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to pilot a battery swapping ecosystem for two-wheeler riders in Vietnam.
Designed as a learning programme, the findings from the pilot will directly inform the development of a complete ecosystem offering tailored for riders in Vietnam.
At the heart of the pilot is CGM's battery swapping ecosystem, which enables riders to exchange depleted batteries for fully charged ones at dedicated battery swapping stations in a matter of seconds. The pilot will evaluate how this solution supports the needs of high-utilization riders while generating insights on rider experience, operational performance, and ecosystem readiness.
The partnership brings together CGM's battery swapping technology and ecosystem expertise with be Group's leading mobility platform and extensive rider network to explore practical, real-world applications of electric mobility for ride-hailing and delivery partners.
Vehicles used in the program are intended for pilot activities only and are deployed to support testing and validation. Any future product or commercialization announcements will be made separately at an appropriate time.
